ETH Board Committees

To fulfil its legal mandate as strategic management and supervisory body of the ETH Domain and to promote institutional cooperation within the ETH Domain, the ETH Board is supported by various committees.

Based on Article 18 of its Rules of Procedure, the ETH Board established two committees:

• Audit Committee
• Executive Committee

Audit Committee

The Audit Committee supports the ETH Board in matters of financial supervision and monitoring of risk management, the internal control system, and auditing functions. Pursuant to its responsibilities, the Audit Committee is comprised of three members, none of whom is associated with the management boards or with any institute within the ETH Domain. The Audit Committee is chaired by dipl. Ing. ETH Beth Krasna, member of the ETH Board.

Executive Committee

On behalf of the ETH Board, the Executive Committee develops strategic alternatives for selected items of business for the attention of the Board and supports the ETH Board in filling key positions, in personnel matters (employment terms and conditions, annual salary measures, pension plans) and in cultivating contacts with social partners. The Executive Committee is comprised of the President of the ETH Board, the Presidents of the two Federal Institutes of Technology (ETH Zurich and ETH Lausanne), as well as representatives from the Federal Research Institutes and the ETH Assemblies of both Federal Institutes of Technology. It is chaired by Dr. iur Fritz Schiesser, President of the ETH Board.
