According to Art. 26 of the ETH Law, the ETH Board has a Staff to support and advise the President in the task of managing the ETH Board.

Dr. Michael Käppeli is Executive Director of the ETH Board. Together with the various staff units, he advises and supports the ETH Board and in particular the President in the execution of their strategic management and supervision functions set out by law.

The Staff of the ETH Board is divided into several staff units. The Staff works closely together with the institutions in the ETH Domain and the Swiss federal authorities. The responsibilites of each staff unit are listed under the relevant headings on this website.
